A 1v1 Chess Puzzle Duel (or Puzzle Battle) pits two players against the exact same sequence of 5 progressive chess puzzles—scaling from a 600 Elo warmup to a 2000+ Elo master combination. Using deterministic seed URLs, you don't need to wait in a matchmaking lobby or create an account: you complete the 5-board sprint at your own pace and share the encrypted challenge link so your opponent races your ghost split-times move for move.
Every room code generates an identical 5-puzzle curve: Board #1 (~600 Elo), Board #2 (~1000 Elo), Board #3 (~1350 Elo), Board #4 (~1650 Elo), and Board #5 (~1950+ Elo).
Clean first-try solves earn maximum points plus a Par Time speed bonus. Guessing and blundering penalizes your board score and hands the lead to a patient opponent.
